The Reason Behind Sunday

The Reason Behind Sunday

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have reportedly taken newborn daughter Sunday Rose home today after welcoming her into the world just yesterday. The news comes after Kidman's father spoke out about his newborn granddaughter's name, saying it was inspired by Australian artist Sidney Nolan's muse, Sunday Reed. Antony Kidman revealed he and his wife had suggested it to Nicole and Keith,

"There was a lady named Sunday Reed who was a prominent patron of the arts in Victoria. I have read a bit about Sunday Reed and her husband John - she was a key mover and shaker in the arts around the beginning of the century. The name Sunday struck me as being a nice name for a woman, so my wife and I mentioned it."

Keith's brother Shane told a Sunshine Coast radio station that the baby's second name was a tribute to their late grandmother Rose,

"It's a wonderful wonderful thing, I'm so, so proud," he said.

The couple have reportedly turned down all lucrative media deals and are expected to release a photo of Sunday Rose soon. We can't wait to see her!

I, for one, love the name Sunday! I think it's great! No one else will have her name, and I think it's much better than Suri. And although I didn't like the name "Suri" at first, it grew on me later. I'm sure little Sunday will grow into her name and it will be adorable on her!
