Brooke Mueller's Emergency Surgery

Brooke Mueller, wife of actor Charlie Sheen, recently made a visit to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after having pangs that the couple feared were related to her pregnancy. Brooke, who is said to be in her first trimester, required emergency gall-bladder surgery, sources revealed to E! News.

The couples publicist, Stan Rosenfield confirmed with E! News that Brooke was treated at the hospital more then a week ago, and made it clear that her stay was not at all related to her pregnancy.

After five days in the hospital Brooke returned home to recuperate and after resting was able to support husband Charlie Sheen at last nights Emmy Awards. Charlie was up for Best Actor in a Comedy Series for Two and a Half Men.

five days?! I had the gas trapped in me from my gallbladder surgery for TWO WEEKS! I could hardly move without excrutiating pain in my shoulder much less get up, doll it up and start red carpeting it. I was up walking a few hours after surgery and kept it up, and STILL had issues.

They probably didn't remove her gallbladder--I know someone who came down with serious gallbladder disease while pregnant and she had to wait until she delivered the baby to have it removed. I had mine taken out laparoscopically a few years ago and there is no way I cold have gone out for the evening like that a week after the surgery. I was barely able to leave the house.

I had to have my gallbladder removed while I was five months pregnant, the Dr said I was in the perfect time frame, they cant do it too early or too late. I was in the hospital for ten days and in bed for two weeks after that, the pain was horrific even with meds.
