Nick Nolte's Girlfriend Clytie Lane Has A Homebirth With Midwives

With no doctor present and the help of three chanting midwives, Nick Nolte's girlfriend, Clytie Lane, gave birth on Oct. 2, to the couples first child at their Malibu home. They named their baby daughter Shanti, which means "peace" Nolte, 66, and Lane, 39, a Pilates instructor have had a tempestuous relationship in the past. A source says, "They broke up early in the year, and then Clytie returned in March-10 weeks pregnant. At first Nick wanted a DNA test, but then decided he was the father."
