Peter Andre Talks Potty Training

Australian pop star Peter Andre gives us some insight on what it's like potty training his 3-year-old son Junior in New! Magazine this week. Peter and model wife Katie Price are parents to Harvey, 6, whose biological father is footballer Dwight Yorke, Junior, 3, and Princess Tiaamii, 1 on June 29.

Junior is still giving me grief over his potty training and I'm currently trying to encourage him to wear his big nappy pants so that he feels grown up. The thing is, he always asks me to go to the loo with him. Then he tricks me by going, but then without fail he does a poo in his pants afterwards! He knows exactly what he's doing, the little monkey. I bet Princess will be potty trained before him!

Peter if you read this article, try potty training rewards. This worked great potty training our son. He loved pushing the audio button hearing he is a Big Boy and opening a door to find a chocolate surprise. He really became involved. He was peeing and pooping in his potty within a week. I know every child is different, but have a look and see if this would work for you. www.pottytrainingrewards.com

After watching the show in the Uk, it seems apparent Junior doesn't get too much attention from his parents. It was the photoshoot in Cyprus episode. Junior had a crying fit as he was left at home yet again while his parents shopped with Princess for stuff for the shoot etc and the poor lad, he only got attention when it was time for the OK photographers to take his picture. When he wasn't wanted and the other kids wanted instead he was so upset and hit the wall repeatedly. Poor lad. If he's learnt that he gets attention for pooping his pants, he will continue to do it. And at 3 years old he is more than old enough to have learnt to be toilet trained. Give him some positive attention & he will be good as gold.

i think he doesn't geet enough attention b/c of Harvey's disabilities and Princess being the baby.

Age isn't a factor when potty training. It's the child. My son is 3 and we work with him daily and he just refuses to use the toliet, no matter what we've tried. We've done rewards, taken him with us, used reminders but nothing works. So I actually feel for this guy and how frustrating it can be.
