A friend says the 25-year-old pop star “is doing fine.”

She voluntarily checked into Promises on Feb. 20 after partying and shaving her head, a weekend most of us will not forget. She left the next day, only to return when husband Kevin Federline threatened a custody battle over their two sons. During her rehab Spears has been attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, but her stay was shorter than most. A typical stay at Promises is usually about 45 days.
Federline has visited her in rehab several times with their sons, most recently last weekend, and has been described as supportive of her recovery.
Currently, Spears has custody of the boys with visitation for Federline. While she was in rehab, Federline took care of the children with help from his mother and Spears’s mother.
Others rooting for Spears’s recovery include Brooke Shields, who told Access Hollywood, amid speculation that Spears may be suffering from postpartum depression, that she’d be available to talk to the singer anytime.
And music producer Timbaland, who has crafted hits for Spears’s ex-boyfriend, Justin Timberlake, told Entertainment Weekly that he’d like to work with Spears once she’s better.
I hope Britney can get back on her feet and put all of this behind her. She hasn’t had things easy-she has money, and fame, but never really had time to herself. Hopefully she can enjoy life with her two young sons, Sean Preston, 1 1/2, and Jayden James, 6-months.
