The Custody Battle Between Denise & Charlie Gets Ugly

Sheen

Yesterday actress Denise Richards asked a judge to protect her children from her ex-husband, Charlie Sheen.

Charlie responded by saying that his ex wife, “behaves as though she owns our children. She does not. A day of legal reckoning for her is fast approaching.”

Richards filed for divorce from Sheen in March 2005, when she was six months pregnant with their second child. They have two daughters Sam, 3, and Lola, 2.

Richards attorney says Denise is seeking “the assistance of the court to obtain orders to protect her children” from Sheen.

“She believes that Charlie has significant personal issues which he has failed to address and which require her to take action to protect her children,” says lawyer Neal Raymond Hersh. “This is not a vindictive action. Any responsible parent in Denise’s shoes would go to the ends of the Earth to protect her children.”

We don’t know yet what these “issues” are, but Access Hollywood has papers where Richards accuses Sheen of “inappropriate behavior … and conduct,” which includes “his attraction to underage women and his sexual explicitness on the Internet, including revealing his private parts.” Richards is trying to stop Sheen’s overnight privileges with their daughters.

“Clearly the mother of my children has no interest in responsible co-parenting when it comes to my relationship with our girls,” says Sheen

If this is true she has every reason to keep those girls away from that enviroment, but as Charlie said, “The truth will prevail. It always does.”
