UNIFEM Goodwill Ambassador Nicole Kidman came to U.N. headquarters on Tuesday to speak out against the fight to end violence against women.
Kidman, 40, who became a goodwill ambassador in January 2006 for the U.N. Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) is dedicated and committed to end violence towards women,
“Obviously, I’m emotionally connected to this,” Kidman said of her commitment during a press conference Tuesday at United Nations headquarters in New York. “I’m a mother. I have a child on the way. A lot of it is realizing the things that are wrong and [pondering] how can I contribute to help my children have a better life?”
Nicole is expecting her first child with husband Keith Urban; she has two children, Isabella, 15, and Connor, 13, with first husband Tom Cruise.
