Update: Yahoo breaks news of Angelina Jolie’s medical condition. Doctor Michel Sussmann said Angelina is doing fine. Angie’s doctor just spoke at a brief news conference in Nice, where she is hospitalized. When asked about the arrival of the twins, he replied they will be born “in the weeks to come.” Sussmann went on to say that Angelina was checked into the hospital to be kept under surveillance, not because of any medical emergency.
Update: Angelina Jolie’s obstetrician, Dr. Michel Sussmann, called a news conference for later Wednesday afternoon. Dr. Sussmann is watching over the 33-year-old actress at a French Riviera hospital where she is expected to give birth.
Update : A press release from the AP states that Angelina has not delivered the babies yet but has indeed checked into the Lanval hospital in Nice, Nadine Bauer, press attache for the hospital reveals. She’s being kept under normal surveillance and is not expected to give birth immediately.
“There’s no urgency. It’s been planned for a long time,” she said. “She’s very well. Everything is fine.”
The French magazine Closer, who had reported she had welcomed the babies, also released the following statement :
“Angelina Jolie will give birth in the following days. This morning we informed you that Angelina Jolie was supposedly giving birth.The actress is actually under observation at Lanval hospital in Nice. She was admitted on sunday afternoon and should remain there until she gives birth of her twins. She is to be due in the upcoming days.”
French magazine Closer reports that, according to sources, Angelina Jolie has given birth to the twins this morning in a French hospital. They also add that she started going into labor yesterday evening. So true or false (Closer is a tabloid), only time will tell…
