When Katie Holmes left her apartment this afternoon with 2-year-old Suri, she took her to Alice’s Tea Cup, a scone and dessert shoppe on the Upper East Side. Tom Cruise joined the two later on, and the family left amid a sea of paparazzi.

For the life of me I just don’t get why, when Suri is all huddled up into them, Tom and Katie can go around smiling like that.
Suri’s a stunning child though.
I’m guessing she’s huddled like that to protect her eyes from the photogs’ camera flashes. Tom and Katie have the benefit of sunglasses but Suri doesn’t. I think that would get annoying (for Suri) REALLY fast; she probably knows what’s coming when she sees the paparazzi and starts to hide her eyes thus making it look like she’s this clingy kid when she possibly (probably) isn’t!
Does anyone else think that Tom and Katie are starting to ‘morph’ into each other?

I am torn here, the fact that the parents want to spend as much time with her is awesome but on the other hand, she is being exposed too much of these paparazzi stuff which is just sad and a little inconsiderate of her parents to do that!
