New mom Laila Ali is introducing her newborn son, Curtis Muhammad Conway Jr., in the new issue of OK! magazine. Laila said she’s excited to take on the new role of motherhood with little Curtis,
“If all these other women have been able to do it, then so can I. I have never been afraid that parenthood was going to be too much for me.” She went on to say this experience has been the happiest “challenge” of her life.
On August 26th, 30-year-old Laila and her husband, retired NFL star Curtis Conway, welcomed the arrival of their first child together. The former Dancing With the Stars contestant had been planning for a home birth when complications forced her to deliver at a hospital instead. After 15 hours of labor, Curtis arrived, weighing in at 6 pounds, 8 ounces,
“He’s brought a lot of joy to my life,” Laila said.
