Billie Piper To Remain In The Hospital

Billie Piper underwent a lot to give birth to her baby boy, Winston - a 26-hour labor, followed by an emergency C-Section - so it's no surprise that the new mom is scheduled to remain in the hospital for about a week.

'She had a Caesarean. It was quite a major thing wasn't it,' husband Laurence Fox says, adding that doctors told the couple she might not be ready to go home for "five days to a week."

As for how Billie's doing emotionally,

'She's really happy she's a mum.'

One of Winston's first visitors? Billie's ex-husband, Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans, who is expecting his own child in January. He dropped by with gifts!

'I got him a tractor. A remote-control tractor. Every little boy needs a tractor.'

In fact, Chris seems as excited as if he were the father himself, writing an entry on his blog titled 'Winston James Fox, welcome to Planet Earth', in which he said,

'At the time of writing this, the little fella is not even 15 hours old. He is cute as you like and didn't cry once for the few minutes I was there which was just a few moments ago. How cool is life?

He also spoke about how Billie's doing, describing her as "fantastic" and saying,

'She's very happy and she looks wonderful. She's really pleased. It's tears of joy up there. I've not been informed if I am a godparent but here's hoping.

Isn't that the normal time to stay in a hospital after a C-section? It is where I live and in most European countries. They make it sound like it's something that's never happened before, lol.
