Kevin on having children with Christine,

“Well, Chris and I dated for quite a while, like six or seven years. Children were important for her. I’d already had children and felt like that part of my life was very complete. I adore my children and take my job as a father very seriously. But I wasn’t sure I was in the mood to go through that all over again. But I also wasn’t going to be able to spend the rest of my life with this woman and not do that. And like a lot of things in life, rather than worry about fear, I embraced it.”

Having a strong bond with his children,

“I mean, for my older children, I went to all their plays and all their soccer games and their recitals and was there through all their ups and downs. I don’t feel like I missed anything. And they were with me for everything – on every set they came with me.

“There’s a very strong bond that we have that wasn’t, ‘Oh, Daddy was too busy building his career that he missed a lot of things.’ That’s not the case at all. So if anything, I wasn’t looking to ‘get it right’ the second time, I was just worried that I couldn’t be as complete as I was the first time around.”
