Brad Pitt On His Present Plans

With six kids in the house, buying Christmas gifts can be a huge undertaking, even when you have all the money in the world. But luckily for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, their nomadic lifestyle has offered a unique perk around Christmastime - because their kids spend so little time watching American cartoons, they are not bombarded with the flashy toy ads that seem to pervade the holiday season.
"We do exchange gifts, although we don't feel any pressure to make them big or expensive gifts," dad Brad Pitt says. "And the kids don't ask for big gifts for the reason that they don't see a lot of the American cartoon television, which is packed with all those manipulative commercials for big toys that look so fantastic. When they do see that stuff is when they start asking for the toys, so we figure if they don't see them they won't know they're there. So we have gifts, but we try to keep the money spent to a minimum. The rule is that everyone's got to make something for someone else, you got to put time into it. Then, when they give to each other, it's really sweet. The gift-giving is a very nice time for us."

Angelina said last month that she feels the holiday season is "kind of the best thing about being a mom and dad" and that she and Brad love it.
"We love it -- it's that fun of sitting up in the middle of the night and wrapping the presents together and doing the stockings and all that kind of stuff."
Brad also said that, as the kids are getting older, they are starting to embrace the idea that they were all born in different countries, although right now it's still more of an idea than a reality.
He said: "As they're getting older, we've been coming up with some idea for a ceremony for everyone around this time, but right now, it's still at the ideas stage."
Brad and Angelina are parents to Maddox, 7, Pax, 5, Zahara, 4 in January, Shiloh, 2 1/2, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 5 months.

im sure they have NO problem in buying gifts...
They should adopt me.
Blah, blah, blah!!
Who cares about this overexposed family!
That’s very good for them. They’re not spoiled, their kids. Like other,
Parent .I can tell Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are good parent.
Where’s the adorable Shiloh and Zahra
We do the same with our girls...and try to make xmas less about buying gifts then giving from the heart and sharing with those who have less...I think it is great that they do such a simple celebration with their kids and that they hopefully won't grow up spoiled and thinking they can have it all...
i agree janie!
I love the Jolie-Pitt clan..and its such a good idea to teach kids that Christmas is more about family, peace unity and love instead of the new Hannah Montana doll!
God, how naive do they think we are? Yeah, they have to make it different on Christmas, since they can afford to buy whatever they want all year long... If those kids already own little squads or weapons, and have toys in all the houses they own or live in, what is there left to buy? Right, absolutely nothing!
