Gossip Girl Star A New Dad

He may play a veteran dad on the hit show Gossip Girl but in real life, Matthew Settle is actually a first time dad today! Settle and wife Naama Nativ welcomed daughter Aven Angelica this afternoon PEOPLE reports. The new baby weighed 8lbs., 11oz.

A rep for the couple says, "Baby and mother are happy and healthy and the new parents are thrilled."

Settle revealed in November his excitement about becoming a father saying, “Before you have a child, everything is about you. But my wife, and us having a child, makes me want to be a better man.”

Congratulations to the couple!
