Ashlee Simpson Signs On To Melrose Place

Ashlee Simpson Signs On To Melrose Place

Ashlee, who welcomed son Bronx Mowgli with her husband Pete Wentz in November, has confirmed that she's joining the cast of Melrose Place.

It's being reported that the former 7th Heaven star will play a small-town girl with a "disarming naiveté [that] masks the calculating, shrewd sex kitten within."

A friend of Ashlee's says that her decision to join the new show was made with little Bronx in mind.

"She was specifically looking for something in television as her next step that filmed in Los Angeles so she wouldn’t have to be away from Bronx. Music is still a passion but she felt this was the best thing for her and her family at this point in her life. She’s really excited about Melrose Place."

The updated version of the hit show is set to begin filming next month.

Will you be tuning in to the new Melrose Place?
