Daisy Lowe In London's Primrose Hill

Before Kingston and Zuma there was Daisy! Gavin Rossdale's first child, 20-year-old London "it-girl" Daisy Lowe, was spotted with her boyfriend Will Cameron, frontman of indie rock band Blondelle, strolling through London's Primrose Hill with Monty the pooch.

Daisy's mother is singer/songwriter turned textile and fashion designer, Pearl Lowe. Until 2004, the 20-year-old fashion model was believed to be the daughter of Pearl's ex-husband Bronner Handwerger, but a paternity test revealed that her godfather, Gavin Rossdale, was in fact her biological father. Pearl wrote about the situation in her book, All That Glitters, where she revealed that Daisy was the product of a one night stand between herself and Rossdale following an argument she had with her ex-husband. Rossdale's wife, Gwen Stefani, was reportedly furious about the situation which was said to cause some difficulty in their marriage.

Though Gavin was named Daisy's godfather, he has severed all ties with the Lowes. Gwen's song Danger Zone was widely believed to be about the dramatic discovery and its aftermath. However, the song was written prior to the incident.

It is just me or she does look more like Gavin now? At least, she has the same smile

that would be very hard for me personally to find out my father really wasn't biologically my father...and i looked up those danger zone lyrics and they're like to a tee! but i guess it can't be about that situation...

A lot of people don't really understand that she grew up with a Dad. Yes Gavin's her dad biologically but she already has a dad and that doesn't really matter.

Thank you for saying that, Natasha. She was raised by a father, not abandoned like some would like to insinuate.

When I saw this posting, my mind flashed to a commenter some time ago who claimed that Gwen ignored Kingston like Gavin ignored his firstborn - just because we didn't see her with Kingston for a few days. Ignorant comments like that make me twitch.

Funny, I haven't seen that commenter since.

You mean Gavin was named Daisy's father..right? This is either a typo or confusing.

By what I know from interviews and sites the whole thing goes like this: Pearl was dating a guy, broke up with the guy, Gavin (who was her best friend) "comforted" her, Pearl got pregnant but both of them (Gavin and her) thought it was her ex-boyfriend's kid so Gavin was named godfather. 15 years later, Pearl began dubting the guy was the father, Daisy told her that her blood type had to be the same that one of her parents, Gavin has this blood type so he is told he might be Daisy's dad and he agrees to take the DNA test. Then he begans to pospone it until he finally takes it and... surprise! he's the kid's dad. It wasn't a typo, he's the godfather AND father of his child.
