Bristol Palin & Hayden Panettiere Talk Teen Pregnancy

Hayden Panettiere and Bristol Palin have teamed up to tackle the issue of teenage pregnancy.

They may seem an unlikely pair – one a young tv star, the other the daughter of a politician and a teenage mom herself – but both Hayden, 19, and Bristol, 18, say that teenage pregnancy is a topic that needs to be addressed.

The pair were at the Candie's Foundation town hall meeting on teenage pregnancy prevention in New York yesterday, where Heroes star Hayden said that she was happy to have Bristol – who is a single mom to her 5-month-old son Tripp – with her at the event.

"It's very nice that she's come out to support this, and it's nice to have her. Teenagers get to look at her, and she can say, 'This happened to me.' This is all politics aside. She is just a girl out here saying, 'Look, it happened to me -- it can happen to you.'"

While Hayden stopped short of promoting abstinence, she encouraged teens to think before they act, saying, “You're going to do what you're going to do, but at the end of the day, it's okay as long as you educate yourself, as long as you're safe, as long as you're smart."

"It happened to me, it can happen to you" Sorry but pregnancy is not something that just happens, you make it happen bus having unsafe sex.
