Update: Father of 7 Mel Gibson and girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva are in fact expecting, PEOPLE reports. A friend of Gibson's told the mag, "He couldn't be happier. He loves being a father."

Is Mel Gibson about to become a father again?

TMZ is reporting that Mel - who recently split from his wife of 28 years, Robyn - and his girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva are expecting a baby! According to the gossip site Oksana, 39, is already into her second trimester and Mel's ex-wife and children know about the pregnancy.

News of Mel and Robyn's surprising break-up came in mid-April when she filed for divorce. Rumors that Mel, 53, was involved with Oksana, a Russian singer, were confirmed when the two hit the red carpet hand-in-hand at the LA premiere of Wolverine on April 29.

There's been no word so far from Mel's camp on the pregnancy reports. If true, the baby would be the second for Oksana, who has an 11-year-old son with actor Timothy Dalton, and the eighth for Mel, who has 7 kids ranging in age from 10 to 28 years old with his ex.
