Nicole Richie Wants A Delivery Room Surprise
Despite rumors that Nicole Richie has been buying blue, the expectant mom insists that she and her boyfriend Joel Madden don’t know the sex of the baby on the way – and she says they’re not going to find out.
"We want the surprise… what is there really to plan?” Nicole told Larry King last night, adding, “I'll get the clothes after.”
Nicole’s dad Lionel Richie, who also appeared on the show, admitted he’s hoping for a baby brother for his granddaughter Harlow, 16 months. And apparently he’s not the only one!
"Joel and I are having powwows," Lionel said, with Nicole adding, "You should hear them prepping each other [for a boy]."
Nicole, who is due later this summer, is spotted here leaving Cecconi's Restaurant with Joel last week.

i wanted a surprise but the jackass ultrasound tech hinted so much that i knew. i think she got a kick out of breaking the news, even though she knew i wanted a surprise.
I think you would have been well within your right to figuratively tear them a new one.
