Co-star Says Jennifer Hudson Will Be A "Fantastic" Mom

After a very difficult year, actress Jennifer Hudson has something wonderful to look forward to: A new baby!

Jennifer’s Dreamgirls co-star Anika Noni Rose is sure that she’ll make a terrific mother: "I think she'll be fantastic," she tells US magazine. "It's something that she wants."

"When people are excited and in a relationship that's a good relationship and making something out of love -you can't help but be good at it because it's you," Anika adds. "It's your love."

Though the 27-year-old Oscar-winner and her fiancé David Otunga have not yet publicly confirmed the baby news, details of her baby shower found their way to the press a couple of weeks ago, with a friend of the mom-to-be confirming that it was “a quiet gathering of friends and mostly family.”

It was less than a year ago that the shocking news of the murder of Jennifer’s mom, brother and nephew was making headlines. Last month she and David talked to Essence magazine about the tragedy, with David saying, “In this time when things seem so uncertain for her, there is certainty in our bond. She doesn’t have to worry about losing me. I’m always going to be right here.”
