Kelis Looks To Nas For Support

Kelis has just filed her financial records with the court in order to get support and baby expenses from her estranged husband Nas.
TMZ.com reports that the singer, who hasn't toured in a year, says that from November 2008 to April 2009 her average income was $21,616 a month. She claims that her monthly expenses are $80,831, spending $14,861 on her mortgage, $3500 will go to a nanny and a whopping $15,000 a month on entertainment, gifts and vacation. She'd also like to do cord blood banking when the baby arrives which would be an additional monthly cost.
Kelis filed for divorce from the rapper when she was seven months pregnant. The couple had recently celebrated their fourth anniversary.

The only thing that strikes me about this article is the low amount of money the nanny would get paid. For someone whose monthly expenses total 80,000 dollars - it is embarassing that the person they've hired to be a caretaker of their child only gets 3,500 dollars.
Agreed, Briana, especially since it's not an easy job.
