Quaid Family Settles With Cedars Sinai Over Twins' Accidental Overdose

ETOnline.com reports that Dennis Quaid and wife Kimberly have finally reached a settlement with Cedars Sinai Medial Center, the hospital where, in 2007, their twins were given an accidental overdose of heparin, a blood thinning drug.

The Quaids will receive $500,000 in their settlement with the hospital, which is to be split equally between twins Zoe Grace and Thomas Boone.

Cedars Sinai is also offering free medical care to Zoe and Thomas for any related health problems that may arise due to the heparin overdose.

The twins, who were carried by a surrogate mother, were born November 18, 2007.

I don't think the lawsuit was primarily about money. Unfortunately, getting an entity to acknowledge any wrongdoing is almost impossible unless you relentlessly attack their pockets.
