Alexa Ray Joel's Starlight Night

Musical talent runs in the family for Alexa Ray Joel, whose dad is "Piano Man" Billy Joel.

The 23-year-old singer performed at this weekend's 6th Annual Club Starlight benefit gala in New York, where she was joined backstage by her supermodel mom Christie Brinkley.

Last week Alexa commented on her dad's recent split from his wife of almost 5 years Katie, saying that the news didn't come as a shock.

"I have a pretty good woman's intuition, so I could tell. I know my dad very well," Alexa told People, adding, "He's a strong man. He'll get through this, and I'm going to help him."
