Let Them Wear Stella

It’s official: Stella McCartney just announced that she will design a one-off collection of children’s clothing for Gap Kids and Baby Gap. A mother of three, the renowned British designer is a favorite with the likes of Gwyneth and Madonna, who no doubt must have wanted to see Apple and Lourdes in some of McCartney’s stellar creations. Judging by her past collaborations with H&M, Target and LeSportsac, prepare yourself for a boho-chic look with plenty of drapey styles in neutral tones.

"I believe that kids clothing should be more accessibly priced," commented McCartney, "which is particularly important at the moment given the current climate."

Scheduled to debut in November 2009 in select stores throughout the U.S., Canada, the U.K., France, Ireland, and Japan, expect lines to be out the door with moms clamoring to get their hands on these lux looks on a budget. Fashion to the people!
