Penelope Cruz Wants Kids, Not Marriage

Penelope Cruz may not be a mom yet, but she tells the UK's Psychologies magazine that her maternal instincts are well-honed.

"I have a tendency to become a mother to everyone around me," the Vicky Cristina Barcelona star reveals. "My brother and sister are always complaining."

For the past couple of years Penelope has been linked to her fellow Oscar-winner Javier Bardem, whom she met while filming the 1992 film Jamón, Jamón.

Describing Javier as "a wonderful man, a great actor," Penelope, 35, goes on to say that while she's unsure about the institution of marriage, she is looking forwarding to motherhood.

"I want to have babies one day but not right now. When I do it I want to do it really well. I want it to be my best project in life. I don’t know if I believe in marriage. I believe in family, love and children."

What do you think about Penelope's thoughts on marriage?

I echo her sentiments. I want children one day but have no intention of getting married. Of course the plan is to stay with the same person but I see no need for me to get married.

I have the same feelings. I have no interest in marriage, but I want children.
