Joey McIntyre & Wife Expecting Second Son

Joey McIntyre and wife Barrett Williams are expecting their second child – a boy – in December, reports PEOPLE.

“I still can’t get over it,” says the 36-year-old New Kids on the Block singer. “We feel so blessed.”

The couple, who are also parents to 20-month-old Griffin, have already had some surprises this time around. “My wife actually took the [pregnancy] test but she thought it was negative," Joey tells PEOPLE. "She came out and gave me this look like, 'No.' Then she showed me the test and I said 'It's positive! What the hell?'"

They were also convinced they’d be seeing pink this time: “"We were shocked," says a surprised Joey, who’d already picked out a girl’s name. "It's going to be a trip to have a couple of boys around."

The singer, who is brother to eight siblings, also commented on whether he and his wife were hoping for a large family: “I think we have a deal to keep going until we have a girl,” he laughs. “That’s why my wife says.”

Barrett and Joey met in 2002 and were married a year later.
