Jessica Alba: “Life Moves So Fast As A New Mom”

With her daughter Honor’s first birthday behind her, Jessica Alba recently took some time to reflect on her new life as a mom.

The 28-year-old actress chatted with Fit Pregnancy magazine about the first year with her baby girl, saying, "Life moves so fast as a new mom. Sometimes I wish time would slow down.” I’m sure many parents out there know exactly what she means!

The Fantastic Four star admits that she underestimated just how hard it would be to keep up with both her career and her kid!

"It's a lot more difficult to juggle motherhood and a career than I ever anticipated. So busy! And Honor is more mobile now than ever before and loves putting just about any foreign object in her mouth. I have to be a constant watchdog."

Asked what advice she’d pass on to other first-time-moms, Jessica recommends trying to find the middle ground between trusting your instincts and learning from other moms who’ve been there, done that.

"What works for you may not work for others and vice versa. I have also found that it's more useful to stop and listen than to try and always have the answers."
