Paz Vega: “Motherhood Is The Greatest”

In a recent interview with Hola! magazine, Paz Vega gushes about the joys of being a mother.

“Motherhood is the greatest, something superhuman, the piece that’s missing from the puzzle,” says the mom of two, who recently gave birth to her second child, Ava, on July 17.

She tells Hola! that her love for her children is like “a bottomless well”. “It doubles, it triples. It’s inexhaustible and inexplicable.”

Paz and her husband, who were married in 2002, also have a 2-year-old son, Orson, who is named after his father, Orson Salazar.

“Sometimes I wonder how I could ever have lived before them,” says the 33-year-old actress. “In homes with children, there is light.”

Paz’s daughter was born via cesarean due to her transverse position. Of giving birth, Paz says, “I remember, more than anything, the moment I heard her cry and I knew that she was alive and breathing. In that moment, you feel a great sense of peace and relief.”

Previously, the couple said that they wanted to have two children very close in age and that while they do plan on adding a third, they will be waiting a few years. For the time being, Paz is taking a few months off to enjoy her new baby girl before returning to Los Angeles to work on upcoming projects.
