Katherine Heigl Introduces Baby Naleigh!

Katherine Heigl Introduces Baby Naleigh!

What a beautiful shot! In this touching first photo of Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley's almost 10-month-old baby girl Naleigh, their newly adopted daughter from Korea looks like she's found her home!

The statement on Katherine's animal-rescue foundation reads,

Katherine and Josh have named their daughter Nancy Leigh and she will go by the nickname Naleigh. She is named after Katherine’s mother Nancy and Katherine’s sister Margaret Leigh. Katherine, Josh and Naleigh are together and doing well.”

Congratulations to the Heigl-Kelley family!

There's been a big deal made of the fact that she's special needs. Anybody know what her issue is? She's adorable.

This picture gives me the chills...wonderful! To the person who asked about special needs....I have friends who have adopted special needs children(also had their processes quickened) and some have cleft palates(external) and others have had heart defects(internal) that need to be surgically fixed. Their processes are shortened because the children can die in their birth country if they had to wait the normal time period. Usually the birth countries are third world countries and don't have the medical resources or cannot afford to provide the medical resources for the orphans.

Congrats to Katherine, Josh and Naleigh. What a beautiful family.

Special needs child doesnt just mean down syndrome/autistic/other psychological challenges. It could be physical like heart defect etc so you cant really see it. Anyways, its great that they adopted!

Katherine and Josh were married in 2007. The requirement to adopt from Korea is minimum of 3 years marriage. Must have been a special needs adoption; otherwise how would they be able to complete the adoption? ?
