Matt Damon Avoids Doing "Anything Stupid"

Matt Damon and his family recently packed up and relocated from Miami to New York, but the star of The Informant says he’s mulling over a move out West – in part to be closer to his longtime pal Ben Affleck.

"We each have two girls within six months of each other. It's a strong argument to buy a house there and be near Ben," Matt tells USA Today. "We'll see how the little kids do (in New York). If the winter is too tough, we might move to L.A. All my friends with kids live there."

Matt, who will be celebrating his fourth wedding anniversary with his wife Luciana this year, revealed his secret to living largely outside of the paparazzi frenzy.

"I make them put veils on," he jokes of kids Alexia, 11, Isabella, 3, and Gia, 1. "What it really is is that we've been living in Miami. It will be interesting to see what happens now that we're in New York. Lucy is not a celebrity, and that really helps. Tabloids sell sex and scandal, and the narrative for me is that he's married to a normal woman and has got three kids and is kind of quiet. So as long as I don't do anything stupid…"

Matt and Lucy are seen here at this week’s NY premiere of The Informant.
