Jennifer Hudson's Musical Son

He may be only 7 weeks old, but singer Jennifer Hudson says her son David Daniel Otunga Jr is already showing signs of taking after his musical mama.

"He seems like he's very interested in music already," Jennifer tells US. "The other night he was having a fit and screaming and sometimes when I play music, he will just calm down. I was exactly the same way."

The American Idol star may be just a tiny bit biased, but she insists that little David is a pretty amazing baby.

"He's turning over, he lifts his head up, he's trying to hold his own bottles!" Jennifer, 27, reports. "Sometimes I swear he talking to me — or trying to. I think he's a very rare newborn. He's the cutest thing in the world, I promise you."

Like so many new parents, Jennifer says she and her fiance David Otunga are already counting the days until their baby's first Christmas: "This is the first one, so I'm going to have to go all out. I'm going to dress him up like Santa Claus! It's going to be great!"
