Jon Gosselin's Epiphany: The Show Harms The Kids
Jon Gosselin appeared on Larry King Live last night (October 1) to address his reasons for wanting to shut down Kate's new reality show, Kate Plus 8. According to Gosselin, the show is now detrimental to his children and he is legally demanding that his estranged wife, Kate Gosselin, no longer go forward with the TLC hit show.
While stating his case last night, King confronted Gosselin's "concerns for the children" with a clip of Jon defending the network's actions and insisting his kids are in no way harmed by the show.
Jon's response? Apparently the 32-year-old Gosselin patriarch has had a change of heart and an "epiphany.'' For the majority of the interview, Jon spoke of his "concerns" for the children, calling the filming environment "unhealthy."
Gosselin also aired his regrets to Kate: "I regret my conduct since Kate and I separated. I used poor judgment in publicly socializing with other women so soon." Jon went on to say, "I asked my attorney to put the brakes on this divorce so I could try to regain control over the future of our family so Kate and I could join on a cooperative course that would benefit our family - not destroy it."
Does this mean the Ed Hardy-loving-father-of-eight has finally dumped his young girlfriend Hailey Glassman? No! Jon spoke of Hailey numerous times, proclaiming his love for her and stating that she is his rock.
In response to yesterday's claims that Kate Plus 8 must end to help protect the children, Kate publicly stated: "I'm saddened and confused by Jon's public media statements. Jon has never expressed any concerns to me about our children being involved in the show and, in fact, is on the record as saying he believes the show benefits our children and was taping on Friday with the kids."
What do you think? Is Jon finally doing right by the kids or is stopping production just another ploy?

He clearly had an "epiphany" because he was fired and isn't getting money anymore.
Did Larry King ask him how he planned to support the lifestyle he has allowed his kids to become accustomed to (thanks to the show he no longer supports)? Anyone that gives that man airtime or press is just as dumb as he is.
I don't care why he's decided to fight the show, the end result will be good for the children. They're being exploited and you can clearly tell the older girls are tired of the whole thing and just want to be normal kids again. Both Jon and Kate sicken me. They're living off the backs of their children. They should go get jobs, be proper parents, and let the kids fade back into anonymity where they belong.

Dont think these kids arent "taken care of" or that they wont be provided for. They have made up to $75,000 PER EPISODE. Do the math.
They certainly wont go hungry. Also I saw on the Insider that he has been planning the hault on the show for weeks. It really wasnt planned to come out the day after his name came off the title. And he wasnt fired fromt he show, he was just downsized.
He said all along he wanted to stop, he never wanted to start season five. It was always money hungry Kate who wanted to keep going. And serioulsy,
she's no "single parent", with nanny's and her staff, including her bodyguard, she's far from going it alone. Wake up kate, Jon finally did something RIGHT !
Hi I think that TLC should take full responsibility now and cancel this show no matter what name it is called. They already made enough money. Put it to rest now!
Jon is ridiculous. He isn't part of the show anymore, Kate is, Kate is getting opportunities now, and he is out of the spotlight. He has nothing going for himself anymore, therefore has no way to support the lifestyle he has been accustomed to and loves. No matter what he says - he loves being in the spotlight, traveling, partying, etc. This is just a way (and a lame attempt) to get back into the spotlight and make money again. He is the one who hurt the kids by his actions with other women in the public. He is also hurting the kids by trying to stop the show - he is doing this for his own selfish reasons to get back at Kate and also to try to be back in the spotlight to find a way to make money again. I think the show is wonderful and allows opportunities for the children they would not have otherwise had. Kate is great too, and of course you have to be organized with 8 kids. I have felt this way for a long time. Kate did not "abuse" Jon. That is who she is, her personality, and he has always known that about her. She is meticulous and organized and looking out for the best interest of her children - there is nothing wrong with that. She keeps quiet about details of their personal life and he does not... and I am sure she would like to share details but for the sake of her children she does not - she is the mature one.
Also, Kate always says she wants to be with her kids all the time and hates how she has to be away from them. Jon on the other hand has said "well i love my life in nyc and its nice to have that, but i like to see my kids..." seriously? You have 8 kids Jon, grow up. Your life should be them, 100% focused on them.
I hate Jon and Love kate and all the kate haters shut up!!!
i would really love 2 talk 2 kate, i watch ur seperate interviews, and it tares me up, i just really want 2 chat with kat, she is a very strong woman, and what people say about her, i mean come on. i love it!!! anyway i love this family. no1 is perfect. im a mother of 4. i want 2 b able 2 contact kate threw the net, thanks
