Mike Tyson, still reeling from the loss of his 4-year-old daughter Exodus, recently spoke with Oprah Winfrey about the tragic event.
According to PEOPLE, the boxing legend is in the dark about the details surrounding the death of his daughter and would prefer to stay that way: “Because if I know, then there might be a blame for it,” Mike, 43, tells Oprah. “And if there’s somebody to blame for it, there will be a problem.”
He adds that focusing on his family has helped him not to react with anger: “I was so happy that I had the tools in my life, you know, to not go in that direction because I’ve been that direction. My family – that’s my biggest asset.”
The loving father referred to Exodus as “a little angel” to which Oprah replied that she believes that’s what his daughter has become.
He responded: “I don’t know, Oprah. I’d like to believe that, and that sounds great.”
Our deepest sympathies go out to the entire Tyson family throughout this difficult time.
