Ivanka Trump may be planning a walk down the aisle, but it doesn’t sound like she’ll be joining our baby bump watch any time soon.
Ivanka says that though parenthood is in their plans, for now she and her fiance Jared Kushner, publisher of the New York Observer, have their sights set on their careers.
Saying that she and her beau “both work long hours,” Ivanka, 27, tells People, “When our time to have a family comes around, I know I will compromise. I am not there yet!”
When they do decide to become parents, Ivanka says she’ll be looking to her own parents Donald and Ivana Trump as role models.
“My parents have both led nontraditional lifestyle – but they have extremely traditional relationships with their children,” she writes in her new book, The Trump Card: Playing To Win In Work And Life. “They might have taken me to boxing matches or trips around the word but at the end of the day they were always my parents, not my best friends.”
Ivana and Jared will be tying the knot on October 25.
