Ming-Na Rules Out Another Pregnancy

After taking some time off from her career to focus on motherhood, actress Ming-Na is now back to work on a new series, Stargate Universe.

Though the former ER star, who has kids Michaela, 8, and Cooper, 4, admits she's not thrilled about the weekly flights back and forth from the show's Vancouver, Canada set, she says being a mom has given her some pretty extraordinary powers.

“I hate flying - I absolutely hate it. Being a mom makes you do things you don’t think you’re capable of,” she tells Breezy Mama. “I’m not a morning person, but when you become a mom, you become a morning person. You get up at 5 or 6 and you’re up. You’re doing things - you’re cooking, you’re cleaning. So, I think that’s really prepared me. [So for the commute to work] I don’t even think about it. I just do it.”

One thing she's not up for, however, is another pregnancy.

“This shop is closed," she insists with a laugh. "I told my husband I would love to have a third child, but we need a surrogate. Because this body is not going through it again.”

Stargate Universe premiered the SyFy channel last week.
