Katie Holmes & Suri: Halloween Shopping In Heels

Katie Holmes & Suri: Halloween Shopping In Heels

Katie Holmes and her 3-year-old daughter Suri were spotted shopping in Boston, Massachusetts on Monday (October 26). The brunette mother-daughter duo - both in their heels - hit a Halloween store along their travels.

In another all-red outfit, we just spotted the adorable tot on the set of papa Tom Cruise's latest flick, Wichita.

i can't believe katie and tom think it's okay to have suri walking around in heels. it's really gross.

It's ridiculous and irresponsible to put such a little girl into high heels. :(

Could someone explain why this child still needs a baby blanket? I don't see any other children her age (celebrity children or those I see around town) with baby blankets! Ideas?

Amanda said:

Those are so NOT play heels. Why on earth do they allow her to ruin her feet in those?

Peta said:

I can't believe they make heels that high for toddlers. It's mind-blowing, to be honest. However, you wouldn't have producers and sellers without buyers.

You're right. Amanda. The 'play heels' excuse doesn't work with this pair at all.

she is so cute so why not let her be her age!
i am not one to be critical, but i agree with laura :(

I have agree. She looks so inappropriate in those heels. And it's such a contrast with the baby blanket. I cant figure that out.
Her poor little legs must be cold, it doesnt appear that she has on any type of leggings, stockings or nylons.

I know after a day of walking and shopping in heels, my feet hurt, I can only imagine how a three year old feels.

i feel like katie is living her adult years thru her little girl's toddler years. such a shame, i cannot stand when parents do that.

I personally think she looks cute! I do feel bad for her for only one thing. People are so critical of her and her family.

lol, i love how concerned people are.. and i also love that her and her pr people are ignoring it! hahahaha... She's not going to wither up and die, her legs aren't going to be deformed, and i don't think katie is living her adult life through her daughter, since she was hardly seen in skirts and heels herself... its just her letting her daughter wear what she likes, and since they aren't underwear or sexually explicit, it means nothing anyone says is going to make a differnece.

milla said:

wowwww if she wants to wear them than w.e, go suri!

Lucia said:

geez from what the comments say you'd think they were binding her feet or something. They are small heels. And she might have asked to wear them. Would I put them on my daughter? Probably not. But who really cares? She's a gorgeous girl, who just gets prettier every day.

I cannot believe that she let a kid walking around in heels ! not only is unhealthy at that age but it just looks out of place and gross ! ! only in US ! kids with their nails painted, heels, make up....come on people !! let the kids be kids !

This isn't just aesthetic criticism because people don't like her outfit or whatever. It's been well-documented that high heels are really bad for your feet and can cause foot and ankle problems. And that's for adults. A child's feet are still growing - putting her in heels is even worse than it is for an adult (not to mention the fact that kids that young don't tend to have very good balance in the first place - wearing heels is just begging for a broken ankle).

And I can't believe the comments that say "well maybe she asked to wear them". Kids ask for a lot of things, but parents are supposed to be the responsible ones and do what's best for them, not what the kids want. If we let kids make all their own decisions, they'd never go to school or the dentist, and they'd only eat cookies and soda.

Ok....besides having bad taste in husbands, Katie is also color blind!

I don't want to judge too much, but my friend who's been wearing heels since she was 11 finds it impossible to walk in flat shoes at all. It's weird, she like falls over because she doesn't know how to walk in them. Either way, Suri looks healthy and happy...we can only hope the best?

Awww, Suri is so cute! I personally wouldnt mind if my daughter wore high heels! I would let her if she wanted to. But I would for sure pack a pair of comfy shoes for her anytime she wore heels. Let girls be girls. My daughter is a major girly girl, and she LOVES to wear heels, and dress up. I am perfectly fine with it. Who cares, let your kids be kids, and have fun!!

those are ballroom dance shoes. i really don't think it's a big deal.

These two are adorable together. The heels that Suri is wearing are so cute. You can tell that she is going to be a girly girl when she becomes a teenager. Thank you for sharing these photos. chris brown

Some of you don't seem to get it. It's really not about aesthetics, it's about health. She is a small child, still growing. Forbidding her feet to move normally is not only ruining her feet, but has also a tremendously damaging effect on her complete skeleton, esp. her spine. I think the producers of this kind of children's shoes are acting negligently.

And pictures of a popular child in such shoes will most certainly produce copycats, which is so sad. Poor girls.

I just don't see how anyone can think that heels are not bad for the kids. I mean it is even unhealthy for adults if wearing them to much. Do women look good wearing high heels? Yes, we do. We feel sexy, slender, pretty whatever, but we certainly don't wear them beacuse they are so comfortable! I was a girly girl wearing constantly my mum's stuff, putting her make up before having a bath, but never ever was I allowed to wear anything like this until I was at least 6. She is only 3 years old, her body is developping, her bones are also, and not only the heels are problem but also the form of the shoe: it should have a rounder front part as this form squezes her little toes together. I think in her age being healthy and age-appropriate should be the main point selecting her wardrobe. She is really a gorgious little thing, but she will end up in orthopeady soon.

This is sick and just plain wrong! Suri is 3 years old NOT a teenager!

A little girl wearing high heeled shoes and carrying a baby blanket!

This family needs serious psychological help!

Catca said:

Yes, she can get have growth and formation problems by wearing heels and it is considered a big no no by pediatric podiatrists! This is not being critical in a jealous or nasty way - it's simply not the same for a growing child who needs structure and support and appropriate body alignment to be wearing heels. Little girls are not dolls - cute isn't really an issue when it comes to safety.

Lucia said:

Those are hardly heels though. Short heels don't hurt anything. How many of you let your daughters where dress up high heels? I've yet to see a girl's dress up closet that doesn't have at least one pair of high heels. How is that okay?

I wouldn´t be too concerned about it that Suri still has her baby blanket with her. Even Zahara and Shiloh Jolie-Pitt still sometimes have their blankies with them when they go out with their parents but not always. I would be much more concerned about the fact that a 3-year-old shouldn´t be wearing high-heels. It isn´t healthy for a child of her age to be wearing them. They could cause some problems for her later. She´s still growing and wearing the shoes like that can´t be good for her.
