The Irwin Family At The Nickelodeon Awards

Bindi and Robert Irwin joined their mom Terri on the orange carpet at today's 7th Annual Australian Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards in Melbourne (November 15).

Bindi, an old pro at these events, seemed thrilled to have her 5-year-old brother Bob along this year.

"It's very exciting, Robert's here with me for the first time. We're having such a good time," the 11-year-old told reporters. "It was very funny. We were waiting to come on to the orange carpet and he was like, 'Can we go now? Can we go now?' - he's just like my dad.''

Bindi and Bob's dad is the late conservationist and TV personality Steve Irwin, who died in 2006 when he was stung by a stingray while filming in Australia's Great Barrier Reef.

Awwww, I was thinking about Steve Irwin just the other day, because I have these promotional cups from his movie "Collision Course" that I got at an old job. And I used one a couple days ago. They are plastic, and I don't use plastic so much anymore, but I didn't have any clean glasses! ;) Anyway, it made me think about Steve and how fleeting life can be.

It seems like Bindi is such a strong girl. It is such a tragedy that Terri lost her husband and the kids lost their dad, but Steve also left behind a legacy in them!

I thought Bindi was about 7/8 years old not 11 already.
