Ewan McGregor & Daughter: Saturday Shoppers
Here's a famous father we don't see very often: Ewan McGregor!
The Trainspotting star was spotted on a coffee run with his 8-year-old daughter Jamiyan at the Brentwood Country Mart in California yesterday (November 28).
Ewan, who also has kids Clara, 13, and Esther Rose, 8, with his wife Eve talked to Health magazine about his parenting philosophy earlier this year:
Pay attention: I recognize it can be boring to play with young children - to tell a story over and over again, let's say - but the secret is being there. If you've made a decision to play with your children, then play with them. Don't be looking through papers on your desk or sneaking off to the computer. Turn off your BlackBerry. Lose yourself in their world. Even if you do it for a short time, it will mean a lot to you and to them."
I don't think we've ever seen a picture of Jamiyan! Or his older girls since they've been babies. Now there's one family (also Johnny Depp) who knows how to keep their kids out of the spotlight.
I never knew or else I forgot that Ewan McGregor adopted any children.
Interesting to me, because a) I used to have a celeb-crush on Ewan, and b) I was adopted.
Never even knew he had kids!
I didn't know he adopted either...heck, I didn't know he had kids:)
He met Jamiyan in a Mongolian orphanage during the filming of his documentary The Long Way Round. They adopted her a couple of years later.
There's a reason you don't see much of him and his kids- he hates when people post pictures of them. It interferes with his ability to keep them safe. He's been quite vehement about this for years- all of his hardcore fans respect that and dont re-post pictures of his kids. You'd do well to follow our lead.
