Lisa Leslie Expecting Baby No. 2

Retired pro basketball star Lisa Leslie and husband Michael Lockwood are expecting their second child together this May – a baby boy!

“We are excited,” says Lisa, as she shares the happy news with PEOPLE exclusively. “When we found out he was a boy, Michael shouted, 'Yes, thank you Jesus!” she adds, jokingly.

The couple, who plan to name their some Michael Joseph Lockwood Jr. and call him M.J. for short, are hopeful that with the same initial as Michael Jordan, their son might have a basketball career in the future as well: “I imagine M.J. won’t be shorter than 6'6,” says Lisa, whose 6’5” of height has lead her to become a three-time WNBA MVP and four-time Olympic gold medalist.

Lisa and Michael, 44, have been married since 2005 and have a daughter together – 2 ½-year-old Lauren Jolie. Michael also has two teenage children from his previous marriage – Mikaela, 15, and Gabrielle, 18.

“I’m feeling really good,” says Lisa, who learned of the pregnancy in September and retired from the Los Angeles Sparks in October. She adds that her daughter is getting really excited about becoming a big sister: “She’s thrilled; she says it’s her baby and I’m just carrying him.”

She goes on to say that this pregnancy has been different than her first – especially when it comes to her belly: “As soon as I stopped playing, my belly popped right out. I wore a two-piece bathing suit with my first pregnancy after three months – but no way now!”
