Nas & Kelis: The Battle Rages On

Since the birth of their now 4-month-old son, Knight, new parents Nas & Kelis have been engaging in a tedious support battle which landed them back in the courtroom this week.

Yesterday (December 9) a Los Angeles Superior Court judge has decided that Kelis’ soon-to-be ex-husband, Nas, can afford to increase his spousal and child support payments from approximately $40,000 to just over $50,000 per month. USA Today reports that this decision was made after a 2-day-hearing determined he’d made enough money recently to support Kelis and Knight, however, according to his lawyer, Nas has come out on top – he no longer has to pay the expenses of the Los Angeles home that he and Kelis once shared.

In early November it was reported that the 36-year-old rapper had filed papers to deny Kelis any support. According to TMZ, Nas has also taken a stand in his divorce case and is testifying that he wants to be granted overnight visits with his infant son.
