Kerri Walsh Expecting Second Child

Just seven months after the arrival of her son, Joseph Michael, beach volleyball star Kerri Walsh has announced she is expecting baby no. 2!

“I’m pregnant again so I’m taking this year off,” she tells Universal Sports.

The 31-year-old two-time Olympic gold medalist, who impressed fans by returning to the game just over two months after giving birth to Joseph, is due with her second child on May 30th. She plans on taking the spring to enjoy her family:

I’ll be taking care of my family and starting to creep back into shape and I’ll be ready for the 2011 season.

Kerri and her husband, Casey Jennings, met in 2000 and were married December 4, 2005 in Palm Springs.
