Liev Schreiber: Kids Help Me Leave Work Stress Behind

Taking a break from the big screen for a stint on Broadway, Liev Schreiber recently sat down - along with his A View from the Bridge co-star Scarlett Johansson - for an interview with Time Out New York magazine.

The dad-of-two describes how he decompresses after a grueling day of rehearsal - with a little help from his kids Sasha, 2 1/2, and Kai, 1.

"I have kids. It’s kind of amazing, actually: You go through all this stuff in rehearsal and you come home and they don’t give a crap; they just want your full attention. It’s been a total savior. [My two-and-a-half-year-old son] is like, 'Daddeeeeee!' and he just wants to play. You dump the baggage right away and reconnect with all these human feelings. It’s such a good hit."

Liev's longtime partner Naomi Watts also has a busy filming schedule, but Liev says they manage to make it work.

"Kids make a big difference," the Wolverine star explains. "You want to be there all the time, and when you’re both working, it’s hard. You gotta negotiate with each other and support each other in that regard."
