The Brazilet collection consists of 13 different colors, one to match every outfit or mood. They are said to bring good luck featuring the following text on each bracelet (in Portuguese), “In remembrance of our patron saint good luck in life”.

The creators of the Brazilets have partnered with brands such as O.N.E. Natural Experience – committed to preserving the earth by using renewable resources – and organizations including the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund and Plant A Billion Trees project, committed to rebuilding the storm-ravaged areas of New Orleans and preserving the Amazon rainforest, respectively.

Celeb fans of the line include Lauren Conrad and Anne Hathaway and be sure to look for it in this season’s Gossip Girls.

First of all: Sorry about my english!
It is absurd that price! Here in Brazil these Brazilets – The real name is Fita do Senhor do Bonfim – are very cheap! 10 cost $2.00!!!!! Beware of what they sell there on behalf of the rainforest! You are far away and so are more exposed to absurdities like these!
By the way, i love this blog!!!!!

A tip for who doesn’t want to tie them around the wrist: you can actually tie them to anything you want: your ankle, your car/house keys… anywhere you’d like!

Ive been to Brazil in Porto Seguro and it’s true, they’re really cheaper there. They’re really cute, tho. I tied them around my ankle since they last really long and dont match all the outfits and stuff..

OMG, it is still accepting donations! Fantastic example of a creative fundraising effort that raised $10,000 in 48 hours to build a classroom at the school in Tanzania.
