Foo Fighter frontman Dave Grohl recently told TIME magazine that his foray into fatherhood has definitely left him a changed man.
“I used to tour nine months of the year,” he explains. “Now I don’t like being away from my kids for more than 12 days.”
He goes on to say that his life as a father is definitely reflected in his music:
It’s changed everything that I do. When you have kids, you see life through different eyes. You feel love more deeply and are maybe a little more compassionate. It’s inevitable that that would make its way into your songwriting.
Dave and his wife Jordyn Blum Grohl are parents to 3 ½-year-old Violet Maye and 8-month-old Harper Willow. The couple will celebrate their 7th wedding anniversary this summer.
