Camila Alves Juggles Career & Kids

On top of having 1-month-old daughter Vida to care for, Camila Alves is hard at work these days promoting the 3rd season of Bravo's hair-styling show Shear Genius, which she hosts.

So how is the mom-of-two - she and her "very supportive" boyfriend Matthew McConaughey are also parents to 18-month-old son Levi - managing such a busy schedule?

“I’m not even sure myself,” Camila admits. “I have my mom here, who has been giving me a good hand, and I’m just trying to keep everything as smooth as I can. I love working. It’s part of my life. It’s what I like to do. We try and keep a good balance.”

Saying that that she and Matthew always make family a priority, she reveals that her favorite time with the two kids so far was “Coming home with Vida and her meeting Levi. That was a pretty neat moment.”

Despite the long days (and nights!), Camila looked drop dead gorgeous as she showed off her post-baby body earlier this week. The 28-year-old beauty shares a few style secrets with other new moms out there:

“Don’t try to do anything crazy,” she says. “Try to keep it basic. After you have a baby, you still have a little belly. Things are not back to normal yet. It takes some time for your body to go back to normal, so the flowy stuff and the layers really, really help, but also we’ve got Spanx.”

She also has a warning: “Do not cut the hair! When you first have a baby and you’re pregnant, you’re hormonal and you’re going through all these changes. Your body’s not back to where it needs to be. The last thing you need if you have long hair is to have short hair. The last thing you need is to deal with something new."
