Kelly Preston & Ella Bleu's Parisian Promenade

Actress Kelly Preston, 47, along with her daughter Ella Bleu, 9, and some friends, spent the day together touring Paris, France on Wednesday (February 10) while daddy John Travola was promoting his new film, From Paris With Love.

The mother-daughter duo seemed to be having a great time as they travelled throughout the city with their entourage.

John recently spoke out about the incredible support his family received after the tragic loss of their 16-year-old son Jett last winter:

My son had such an enormous effect on the world and the kindness of fans and people of all types and sorts around the world have been amazing. I've never felt more of a flow of support and love as I have in the past year and we needed it... You're kind of a sinking ship and you need all the kings horses and all the kings men to keep your head afloat. And we had it.

Woah, Ella was such a pretty girl but she seems to be following in her fathers footsteps in struggling with her weight. Such a shame she's only 9.

What happened to her? omg

She IS only 9, she'll grow out of it!

Well let's see...for starters, she's had an extremely difficult year! My god, the internet allows people to be so rude - anonymously, of course.

But these little girl was overweighted BEVOR her brother died.

I bet the same people making rude comments about a 9 year olds weight are the same ones who complain about gratuitous use of photoshop and the lack of "real" women in entertainment.

She's a 9 year old who witnessed her brothers death barely over a year ago. Please get some damn perspective.

Has anyone ever heard of puberty? And the fact that this young girl has had a rather traumatic & stressful year with the loss of her brother? Ella's comes from a tall gene pool (on one side, at least) & perhaps she is going down the same road that I did, which involved entering puberty at 8/9, putting on about the same amount of weight as Ella appears to have done, & then my growth spurt kicked into full-steam. As I continued to grow, I slimmed down & lost that "puberty fat" that had accumulated. A little over 10 years later, I am 5'11'' & a very healthy/lean 152 lbs. Leave the poor girl alone, she's perfectly fine the way she is.

thanks for the synopsis of your life, we were all wondering what puberty was like for you.

Daniella said:

Just because I stated that I went into it when I was really young & got really tall? That's kinda an extremely simple explanation, by all accounts. I simply used my own experience to defend this young girl, who people are accusing of being fat at what's likely a difficult time in her life. Offering encouragement from experience is always a good thing.

Children tend to go through these phases! No big deal. Like Daniella has said, some go through puberty earlier than others..

She's fat.

You people are so incredibly rude. It is VERY normal for girls to gain weight at the onset of puberty. You people should be ashamed of yourselves for posting such hateful comments about a little girl.

WOW.... Really. Some of the most kind people in this business. I seriously cant believe what I am reading. MOST of you all are JERKS.

So do you all feel better now that you have made fun of a beautiful LITTLE girl??? WOW this is amazing. *tisk tisk*

Ella is overweight, don't kid yourselves or make excuses, even once puberty starts it's not normal to gain so much (unless it's normal where you live, which is unfortunate since it's not healthy in the slightest). Anyway, she seems like a nice kid, she's a pretty girl and I like her and her parents. She'll most likely outgrow this, but her mother should take better care of her daughter, even though I know how difficult it must have been for them with the death of their son... Ella should look as best as she can, and I'm sure she can look better than she does now. What's important is that (hopefully) she doesn't start worrying too much about her weight... Just correct it ,with healthier eating, exercise, and enough sleep during the night. I dislike them being in a cult, but it's none of my business. Also, forgot to mention, Kelly looks nice. I hope she had a nice time in Paris with her daugher. Wish them the best!

Agree with Sophie! How is stating the obvious being a jerk? There will always be sad times, it's not a reason to not be healthy, especially since she looked that way before losing her brother... No one is making fun of her, she is overweight and it is sad. It is also sad that so many seem to consider this normal, because it is not healthy or good for your children. It's probably not even her fault, she's 9, if she has bad fod habits or something it's probably the way she was brought up :/

all of you that are saying it's normal to get fat because of sad or stressfull times are probably 300 lbs and sitting at your computer with a tub of ice cream. it's not normal or ok. she should be learning healthy ways to deal with the ups and downs of her life.

She has always been "thick" She will probably battle weight her whole life. Realizing the problem is there before it gets out of hand is half the battle. Some people are genetically programmed to be overweight. These unfortunate souls end up watching what they eat their whole lifes. I am one of those people, I was probably the only 9yr old back in 82 who new that cholesterol was in eggs and I couldnt have any. I did however spend a lot of time looking for it so I could get it out. Thanks Mom for being ahead of game. Skinny people get all the fun.
