Valentine’s Day is a celebration of romance. But when you have kids, finding the time to have some quality one-on-one interaction with your significant other or acquiring that perfect gift can be an epic challenge. Us mere mortals can find it difficult keeping the magic of Valentine’s Day alive, so how do the stars do it? Here are what ten celebrities like Angelina Jolie, Jessica Alba, Heidi Klum and Jennifer will be doing, giving or hope they get this Valentine’s Day !
Heidi Klum and Seal
Heidi will be in New York for fashion week while Seal is at home with their three older kids, so sadly they will be apart for Valentine’s Day. But she has something special for Seal, she said that “I’m making a very fun box of heart things. Kind of like an explosion of things; confetti hearts with cute underwear and chocolates. It’s a fun surprise box for him.”
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt
Forget getting your partner a bouquet of flowers and leaves. Angelina Jolie bought Brad Pitt the whole tree. A $18,500 tree that is. The UK Sun is claiming that Angie is planning to plant the 200-year-old olive tree at their $60 Million Estate in the South of France. The olive branch is a symbol of a peace offering, so is this a result of all those break up rumors? Hmmm.
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck
When you have kids, everything changes and Jennifer Garner noted that, “You change the definition of romance,” according to Popeater.com. “Romance is romance, but in addition romance can just be breakfast over the tops of heads. Just getting through the day. You just have to make that be romantic.” But she also had some advice for MTV viewers on what to do if you happen to be single. She said that “Girls should go together.” She continued saying, “If you don’t have a boyfriend, just grab your girlfriends and go. My best Valentine’s Day, I took my friend, both of us were single, and said, ‘Screw it, we’re going to go have a romantic weekend.’ We went to the wine country, we stayed in romantic bed-and-breakfasts, and we had wine tastings and great meals and massages. We were surrounded by couples in love, and we did not care.”
Jessica Alba and Cash Warren
Jessica Alba is leaving it up to hubby Cash Warren saying, “I want him to set up a date,” she told Eonline at the Audi’s Super Bowl party on Friday. “I want him to plan!” But she added, “If we end up just staying home, that’s fine.” And she had some advice for men on a Valentine’s date telling MTV: “Absolutely pick up [the check], Hopefully [your date] offers, but that’s just a gesture. You should pick it up.” And she is anti texting during a date saying, “just excuse yourself to the restroom. Don’t do that at the table — it’s very annoying.”
Julia Roberts and Daniel Moder
What does Julia Roberts hope to do this Valentine’s Day. She’s looking forward to lots of kissing. She told the press. “We’re just going to be making out; for the full 24 hours,” Her advice on what other women out there should do with their significant other? “Have a nice glass of wine and take your top off.”
Rebecca Gayheart and Eric Dane:
This is Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart’s last Valentine’s Day before they have a baby and it all changes. What does Rebecca want for Valentine’s Day? She’s apparently a woman of simple needs and wants. She said, “I just want a card. That’s all I ever want on Valentine’s Day,” the actress told Access Hollywood.” I love it when [Eric] writes a nice card.” But she said he already gave her something very special. “I’m going to get the biggest, greatest gift surprise,” she said pointing to her pregnant belly. “I apologized to her,” Eric said. “I’m like, ‘Honey, I’m sorry I did that to you but it’s going to be really great.’”
Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale
Singer, designer and mom Gwen Stefani has been super busy with her Fall 2010 L.A.M.B fashion show for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in NYC. She told Just Jared “I’ve been gone for a week, so hopefully kissing my husband [Gavin Rossdale] a little bit!”

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher
I wonder what Demi thinks of this?!? “I hate Valentine’s Day, I think every day should be a day of romance,” he told Parade. “Then, on Valentine’s Day, you should get to tell whoever you hate that you cannot stand them. There would be one day of hating, and 364 days of love.”
