Padma Lakshmi Welcomes Daughter: Krishna Thea!
| Feb 22, 2010 by JENNY SCHAFER |

Padma Lakshmi has welcomed a baby girl named Krishna Thea Lakshmi, People reports.
Padma's first child was born late Saturday (February 20) in New York City. "Mother and baby are well and happy."
Padma has said the baby name "will be a classically Indian Sanskrit name.” The Top Chef star, 39, has remained mum on the identity of the baby's father.
Padma announced her pregnancy last October. The pregnancy was considered "a medical miracle," because Padma has struggled with endometriosis, a painful uterine condition that can lead to infertility.
Congratulations to the Lakshmi family!
