Taye Diggs Is A Proud Papa

It has been 5 months since Private Practice star Taye Diggs and Tony-Award winning wife Idina Menzel have welcomed their son, but the new dad tells Good Morning America that he still isn't getting much sleep! Diggs laughs, “It’s early, it’s very early. I’m just trying to get through [and then] I’ll be back [in Los Angeles] tonight to see the little man.”

He may be lacking shut-eye, but Diggs couldn't help but gush over Walker Nathaniel's latest accomplishments, saying, “He’s almost standing, he’s laughing a lot when I come in to get him in the morning to change his diaper, he’s smiling, he’s brilliant. I can’t stop talking about him!” When discussing diaper duty, Digg's jokes, “It is love, let me tell you, his diapers are no joke. But even then I’m such a proud father I’m like, ‘Good for you! Good for you little man!’”

Diggs admits that he has it all, with a wonderful family, two new movies completed, and of course, a recurring role on Private Practice, telling GMA, “I’m blessed. It’s so cliché to say, but life is good.”

He and "warrior wife" Idina Menzel have been married since 2003, nine years after first meeting while co-starring on the broadway hit, Rent.
