Helena Bonham Carter: My Toddler Is A Tyrant

Mom-of-two Helena Bonham Carter says she didn’t have to look far for inspiration for her tyrannical Red Queen character in the new movie Alice in Wonderland: She found it in her 2-year-old daughter Nell.

“I thought well she’s a toddler, because she’s got the big head, she’s a tyrant – a toddler tyrant, toddlers are tyrants,” the 43-year-old actress explains. “The no sympathy for any other living creature – that’s our toddler in fact. No empathy, just commands. She just bosses us around – dictatorship. No please, no thank you. ‘Mummy come here’ ‘Mummy go’ ‘Mummy! Watch telly.’”

Helena, who also has 6-year-old son Billy with her husband, the film’s director Tim Burton, continues, “An another toddler quality – it’s all about me, it’s all about her, never considers us, ask, ask, ask. So the toddler thing was a big inspiration.”

The child will get away with what she’s allowed to and she will also mimic adult behavior…

WOW! what a big baby! Is it cause Helena is a small woman that that baby looks like a gigantic doll. Terrible twos happen to most all children. No matter how you raise them. It’s just a phase most, if not all parents go through.

I love Helena but she’s not the most eloquent of creatures. I get what she’s trying to say though. Nell’s got a bad case of the terrible twos ;)

What in the world is the kid wearing? I’m all for Helena’s questionable wardrobe, but is the baby wearing makeup??
